This policy explains what personal information this website collects, why we collect it, and your rights under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
Who we are
Cashmere Marketing is a digital brand and social media marketing agency based in George, Western Cape. We are responsible for the personal information collected through this website.
What we collect
- When you contact us: your name, email address and message, through the contact form. Giving us these details is voluntary, but we need your name and email address to reply.
- When you visit: Google Analytics records how the site is used, such as the pages viewed, how visitors arrived, the device and browser used, and approximate location. It uses cookies to do this, and it does not tell us who you are.
- Spam protection: Cloudflare Turnstile checks that form submissions come from a person rather than a bot. The Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Policy applies to that check.
How we use it
We use your contact details only to reply to your enquiry and to discuss working with you. We use analytics to understand how the site is used and to improve it. We do not sell personal information.
Who we share it with
We share it only with the service providers that run this website for us: our web developer and host, Google (analytics) and Cloudflare (spam protection). Some of them process information on servers outside South Africa, under data-protection laws or agreements that protect it to a standard comparable to POPIA.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to respond and for our business records, and then delete them. Google Analytics keeps usage data for a limited period set in our account.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga, and _ga_ followed by an ID) to tell visits apart. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s opt-out add-on. The site works without them.
Your rights
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. You may also object to our use of it. To make a request, send us a message through the contact form on our home page. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if our practices change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
